WILDLIFE & BEAR AWARENESS

Wildlife around Grand Beach.

The Grand Beach area is wildlife habitat. A memorable encounter starts with space, quiet observation and care.

Wildlife imagery was recorded in the surrounding area, away from Kelly’s Chalet. Encounters are never guaranteed.

01 · WILDLIFE & BEAR AWARENESS

Watch from a distance

Keep your distance from deer, birds and other animals. Never feed, follow, corner or approach wildlife. Give animals a clear route away and keep children close.

Keep food out of reach

Store food and scented items securely. Clear barbecue residue and pet food after use. Bag garbage and use the designated secure location. A clean outdoor space helps reduce unwanted encounters.

Be Bear Smart

Review Manitoba’s current Bear Smart guidance before exploring. Make your presence known on trails, travel with others where practical and keep dogs under control. Follow official advice if you encounter a bear.

A sighting is never promised

Wildlife moves freely. Area wildlife photographs describe the surrounding region and do not establish that the animals were at Kelly’s Chalet or will be present during your stay.
